SLDAS was founded in 1998 to support women in the Speke and Garston areas of Liverpool and was originally called Speke Garston Domestic Violence Project.
As requests for support increased and the organisation began to work accross South and South Central Liverpool, it was decided to change the name to South Liverpool Domestic Abuse Services.
The organisation consists of 6 trustees who provide strategic leadership and support to 3 staff and up to 10 local women who offer their time as volunteer support workers, counsellors and daily office support. Our volunteers are vital to the daily running of the organisation.
If you would like to know more about volunteering with us please check out the Volunteers drop down menu.
SLDAS is committed to supporting women to reach their potential. In addition to providing volunteer work experience, we provide placements to local Social Work students as part of their degree course.
